It is portrayed with only 2 paired front fins, a dorsal fin, and a caudal fin, because their relatives of which we have skeletons display this pattern of physiology, hence, this image is potentially quite inaccurate. In reality, edestus and helicoprion were fast, almost dolphin-like predators with large tails and streamiled bodies, they were the speedsters of the shark world, and the way they are constructed reminds me of gamefish and dolphins.
