This really reminds me of the conceptual art done for the Dead Marshes in The Two Towers movie (though this is far more elegant).

Rusałka (also called boginka) is a demonic creature inhabiting the forests, fields and reservoirs. Usually appeared as a beautiful, naked girls with green hair dissolved. The bride, who died before marriage became rusalka.
I love Slavic mythology.
There is a beautiful butterfly - Inachis io, in Poland it is called Rusałka pawik.
