Oy. Complicated page.
Lots of back and forth between Illustrator and GIMP. I think I'm getting the hang of that, even if I did quit on that darn tree.

Flat wut belongs to Duo. Her ears are forward and her head is down; even when encountering an unexpected battlefield full of dead friends, she's all business and information gathering. Equinox might want to go down to mourn, but he's shutting out the sighs, sounds and smells as much as he can. Ears back, head up, denying his surroundings. Yeah, that's his family down there.

Crow shapes are grabbed from a search for 'crows' on bing. Background photos are my own, from the park near my house.

Very well done page!! I have to say that the third panel is really emotion evoking. Nice work.

Thank you! I'm glad you like it. It was... complicated, but I'm glad the emotion comes through

Give me a page or two- It will be explained, I promise. I'm just trying to avoid narrative boxes. But please do keep hollering at me if it isn't explained adequately when that page does come. This is my first 'real' comic, and learning to tell a story with visuals and dialog is kinda the point. I may not get it right the first time

Thanks! I'm beginning to figure out the whole background thing. Still using photos, but it's better than nothing! GIMP is not as user-friendly as Illustrator, so bouncing between the two is sometimes frustrating. I should buck up and buy a copy of Elements so I can activate Photoshop on my computer.
