Still trying to break an artblock.Inspired by *Caregan 's Mirimeido costume designs , and an attempt of my own to design a military maid uniform. The shirt and cap are very much inspired by the 1936 standard Heer (Army) uniform of the German Wehrmacht, but with some refinements.
She is armed with a Belgian-made FN P90 personal defence weapon and accompanying FN Five-seveN side-arm, as well as an M72 LAW anti-armour weapon for more 'heavy' work.

ooh, interesting - i like the cap and ears combination, actually, and the combination of boots with frills. the trouble with the main part of the uniform, though, is that the maid and military bits are quite separate. i love how you've combined a garter with an ammo pouch, but with the jacket it looks like she has put a normal military jacket on on top of a maid uniform, rather than the two being unified themes within a single outfit. (this is a problem i also had). but overall i think it works pretty well

Yes, I know the jacket was a bit of a problem. I did think about modifying it a bit (like hearts or flowers on the lapels instead of the normal military insignias and buttons), but those details are a bit too small to convey properly here. I decided against the armband because... well, that jacket with an armband, bit of connotations there.
Most likely, though, the difference would have lain in the colour - perhaps the jacket could be pink, lila or purple to add to its 'maidness'...?

Plus, it's been far too long since I drew any kind of 'real' uniform. And I'm trying to push myself into new stuff, challenging my muse into waking up again!! XD
