My entry for the Challenge #1: Redo Your First Deviation contest at ! Apologies to all who get this in their watch folders

Rudolph the glow-bodied reindeer was conceived of in December 2003 (but wasn't uploaded til 2004), and he was my indignant answer to Rudolph the daft-nosed reindeer. xD Being a reindeer purist and all, my 14-year-old-self made a sort of angler fish/reindeer cross (though it came out more like some sort of horrible stick insect reptile THING) that could really light the way on Christmas. >3> The old image is horrible and was made in a program that didn't have a multiply layer setting (so the lines were on low opacity, which is why it's all slightly whitish), but I still really liked the concept.

Which brings me to 2010, whereupon I redrew it, having learnt a lot about reindeer anatomy, posing, antler types, toning, staying in the fething lines and making things look like they're actually giving out light and not simply being large turquoise tribbles . x3 Obviously it's not perfect - I'm still particularly not au fait with reindeer muscles - but I'd say it was an improvement. xDD
