from about a year ago. graphite on white paper. Again, being 18x24, it didn't fit in the scanner, so i took a poor quality photograph with my old ass 35mm.Related content

I'm scared of this one. He looks very goat like. I know he's meant to, what with him being the devil, but I have an irrational fear of goats so this freaks me out. On a less insane note, it's an absolutely amazing drawing. It reminds me of Dave Grohl in the video for Tenacious D's 'Tribute'.

that whole thing of seporating the sheep from the goats probably started the representation of devils in that direction, i think.
Also, having an irrational fear of goats is less debilitating than having an irrational fear of large crowds of people (three or more).

Yeah, my fears aren't exactly life destroying ones . Goats, Ren & Stimpy and that style of animation from the 1930s where the characters had really bendy arms. Those things TOTALLY freak the shit out of me. I cry and have panic attacks, it's so stupid...especially for someone who lifts huge spiders out of the shower to set them free, jumps off flights of concrete steps on a mountain bike and sits on cliff edges. I don't think a fear of crowds is irrational though, cause crowds can be kinda scary for lots of reasons

actually, this is an older piece that had the goat beard before Moloch. Moloch used to look a lot more like the undertaker than he does now, as hard as that is to believe.

High detail on the skin, I can see every crack and crevis... must of taken quite some time, the face is very full of character.

I'm loving the face... The upper torso could be improved a little. I'm not sure but it looks like he may have a few too many ribs, and his pecs look a bit strange. But maybe that's just me. The eyes are haunting.

when it\'s a completely fanciful creature, having perfect anatomy doesn\'t really matter so much, so I just wasn\'t paying attention to that. just having the ribs showing gives him that aged look, i think.
