the fur pattern doesn't look nice though??

Please note that this tutorial is now six months old.
It's up to the person viewing the tutorial to fur how they want, no person furs the same way. So it really shouldn't matter what my own fur pattern looks like.
I would hope someone wouldn't be copying this as closely as physically possible, considering this is supposed to be a jumping off point.
but thank you for the incredibly rude comment. c:

You got all upset and 'long message in self defense' because I said the way you make fur doesn't look good??? then I called out your butthurt and suddenly I'm a troll.
are you canadian or something jesus christ

Do you expect to make a comment on someones art style and not get an explanation in response? xD
I mean, at least say something constructive oooor like look at updated art of theirs before you throw a comment out there.
And then you throw weird comments on top of it that totally make you out to be a troll, dude. xD so whatever, you're not gonna get a big pissed off rise out of me, you'll prolly have to go somewhere else for that.

Look at the 'fur' on this sculpted paw. It doesn't look like fur. It looks like jagged, messy cuts in the clay littered everywhere. Instead of gently making indentations and pressing inward on the clay you're driving a fucking toothpick through it and making it look like something a little kid made. If you can't see where I'm coming from I'm going to be even more disturbed.

Nope, I can see where you're coming from. I totally can. that's why I mentioned that this was six months old. I made this quickie tutorial in june. I only started sculpting for the very first time in my life in late novemeber/early december of last year.
I only got proper clay tools in march/april of this year. It was a point of practice and attempts at gaining experience. c:
In fact I only made this tutorial really to try and assist in toe placement and by request.
I'm sorry it so thoroughly pisses you off to see practice fur texturing, that is quite sad I suppose. I think you should take a gander at someones more recent work. (although I admit I haven't updated with recent stuff for some time now, due to not having a computer.)
the fact that practice fur texture disturbs you is also kind of sad. xD Although I suppose that really isn't my problem?
I think you probably need to ask for more information int he future before getting so very pissed off about someones efforts at gaining ability. I mean, no one starts anything perfect? I think that there are plenty of things you yourself still have to learn. but I'm not going to go and leave snide comments on any of your drawings.
Woops long response, oh well.
