I haven't been drawing much lately. I've really been devoting so much time to sculpting. xDI don't have the fabric I want to finish these yet. But I plan to get it soon and see how things go. xD
Obviously both are WIPs. I haven't brushed all the little extra clay bits off the gyrphon at all yet. he needs some smoothing.
ANYWAYS. I will scrap this when they are finished and I can post new pictures.

I have more proper clay working tools now, not just the cuticle shaper from a nail kit, I hope they will continue getting better now.

Be careful if you attempt claws. They're brittle. I have to use mod podge once they are all painted to make sure everything holds together nice and firm.

Ive got an idea for creating them to be a bit more sturdy, but if that fails then yes, modge podge it is. xD

I seal everything with mod podge. xD I love how it feels when it's dry. It feels far sturdier when you tap it.

That close-up shot on the foot *3*...
All of the clay parts are so detailed and... perfect.
Is the fluffy bit there for making them into plushie hybrids, or is it just to give you a basic idea on structure for the clay? Either way, I think I'll have to try something like this in the future - if you don't mind, that is. :>

I have always wanted to. and I completely encourage you to! It's really relaxing, and enjoyable. Especially if you like sculpting.
If you decide to get into it we could even trade dolls sometime, if you like mine finished, anyways. xD
