Personality:
How do they process information: Biased in what information she remembers. If it's not something that will help her survive or part of her job or weird and interesting she won't bother paying that close attention. Can get very focused on something that interests her and lose track of her surroundings.
How do they handle emotions: She feels and expresses her emotions relatively normally for her age, even if she expresses them with a heaping helping of sass. She does unfortunately have positive emotions like happiness and love biologically dampened. It's not that she can't have them but she feels them less strongly.
How do they react to a positive experience: For her positive experiences give the usual positive feelings like hope, encouragement, and happiness! Sometimes she lets success go to her head too...
Or a negative one: She'll feel bad of course and may get pouty over it even if the event was her fault. However, she's unlikely to let herself wallow in negative feelings for too long. She believes life is awful to people enough without being hard on one's self.
How do they deal with a crisis: When stuff hits the fan, she'll get the heck out of the situation first. She needs to save her own skin and take care of her own needs before she can consider dealing with anything else. If available, she'll listen to authority as long as doing so doesn't put her at risk. If unable to distance herself, she will shut down emotionally and think of and act on ways to ensure her survival.
How do they achieve their goals: She doesn't often make goals and when she does they're often impulsive and/or whimsical and of small importance. She's not really the planning type, being more comfortable taking things as they occur.
How do they make decisions: She makes sure her decisions feel right emotionally as well as morally. Using social norms are useful in determining the consequences of her actions, but unless the consequences are bad then she'll be unlikely to put that much weight in it. She is particularly weak to options that cause unsuspected or chaotic events which can override any potential risk or reward.
How do they gain self confidence: Having the freedom to choose and make her own decisions and affirmations from herself and others. She also gets boosted by having a social support group in her corner she can rely on. She also gains self confidence from successfully helping others.
Or lose it: Whenever she loses control over herself. When hate and negativity is directed at her even if the evidence or reasoning behind it is false. A disheveled appearance and poor hygiene also lessens it.
How do they deal with obstacles: She will fully investigate the obstacle before deciding what she feels like doing about it. She may immediately come up with plans to overcome or bypass the obstacle when she notices it, but her curiosity will encourage her to try other options even if they are counter intuitive.
How do they view themselves: A freedom-loving gal who would rather go treasure hunting than dealing with social problems and politics.
How do they view others: She sees nobles as uncontrollable creatures who will manipulate and control and sometimes consume others for vain and selfish purposes, and everyone else as just beings trying to survive in an dangerous world.

What makes them feel secure: While she is an explorer at heart she values having a home to return to for resting and TLC. She also feels safe when she is able to be self-sufficient.

While she does acknowledge that rules and regulations are important she is more than willing to break them as individual situations are never clear cut. Sometimes she would like to be petty and let karma do its job; however, she typically feels compelled to do the right thing anyway.
History:
Childhood
A few months after the successful merging of the tribes, Kamau was born as the second child to the commoners Olujimi and Burhane. As she grew, her parents soon noticed that Kamau wasn’t as hardy as a normal cub. She kept becoming ill and would get injured from normal activities. Still Olujimi and Burhane were thankful for their daughter and set to work raising her as best they could into a proper Vimbue member while still keeping her safe from harm.
Adolescence
Kamau didn’t rebel from her parents’ coddling over her illness . At least not fully. She often got into trouble without trying and enjoyed causing mischief. Growing up she recognized that being selfish and arrogant was bad and would try to help others and be responsible while still having light hearted fun. However, when she could she allowed herself the freedom to make small trips outside the territory in secret from her parents and elder sister to explore and have some me time.
Young Adulthood
Once she was two years she was sent on the Khweta ceremony and gained the Heart Mandla. Given that she enjoyed exploring so much she was happy to become a Missionary and did her job with dedication.
One day she was exploring the edges of the territory and suddenly decided to just not go back home. It was a crazy impulse but it was one that had been plaguing her off and on since she was barely a year old. She didn’t leave a message or tell anyone anything as she fully expected to return after a day or two. However, a fierce storm caused Kamau to lose her way and become lost far from home.
Her parents and Vimbue attempted to find her but after months of nothing being found, Kamau is considered to be lost or dead. She spent 2 years wandering around and being essentially a rogue. She learned how to hunt on her own, to navigate, and various survival skills. She ended up missing the drought in Wethu and the dethronement of Malik completely.
Adulthood
Eventually she managed to find her way back in Wethu. Eager to return to her family she sets off towards the last place she knew Vimbue was located; however, the sight/sound/scent of King Malik in a odd location distracted her and found ignoring her curiosity to be impossible. She didn’t make it far into the canyons and was quickly caught off guard and captured. After learning what had transpired since her disappearance and being intimidated by a scarier King Malik than she remembers, she joins Azubike to eventually be trained as Gacheru against Vimbue.

Trivia
Accessories like collars, permanent body modification, and jewelry make her feel chained down and so she prefers ones that don’t wrap around her like paint, beads, and ribbons.
She secretly is upset at both the Kings as she believes that Vimbue should have honored their alliance with Shemsi, and that Azubike’s goals shouldn’t be driven by revenge and bloodshed.
She adores cubs and wants some of her own some day, but doesn’t think she’ll find anyone willing to be a father and partner rather than just a donor.
Once had a pair of bongos as a child but they were taken away from her after the first day because she wouldn’t stop playing them.
Loves to swim but fears the creatures lurking in the water.

Strengths ::
Stealth - Several things lend themselves to Kamau’s skill in remaining undetected. Her hearing is the typical keen hearing that those born in a year of the moon are blessed with so she can hear how loud she is moving. Her small stature means she is able to slip and hide in places one might easily overlook. Her hunting style is purely ambushing, trapping, or assassination.
Flexibility, Balance, & Reflexes - She has very flexible joints allowing her to maneuver her way around dense obstacles and can be very acrobatic like a gymnast. Her reflexes have also saved her life, and others, on more than one occasion.
Unbribable and Hard Working - Despite her antics she is someone who can be relied upon and will usually to her best at a task, not for the reward, but for the task’s sake. When following an authority, as long as they don’t show signs of throwing her under the bus then she will be extremely unlikely to betray their trust. Sure she might accept what is offered in a bribe but that has little to no effect on her decisions or loyalties.
Weaknesses ::
Loose joints and thin skin - The downside of her aforementioned flexibility is that it also causes her muscles to work 3x harder to keep that balance. Ever since she hit four years old and became fully grown, she tires quickly with exertion and then has joint pain nearly constantly afterwards. Another unfortunate side effect is that her skin is thinner than most and breaks easily. Scabs if left unprotected until fully healed run the risk of reopening if brushed or bumped. All of this makes her seem incredibly weak in the eyes of the Azubike.
Blood Lust - Not referring to being violent and sadistic, she actually desires blood itself. She finds the smell and taste absolutely delicious and when overindulged in her vice she can lose her head in an attempt to get more. This combined with her stealth means that if she gets a taste of a prey she’ll be unlikely to stop herself from pursuing her target.
Vicious & Territorial - Don’t ever touch her things or invade her privacy without permission! While not known to be violent she has viciousness aplenty to unleash upon thieves and invaders. She might not immediately get revenge but rest assured she will never forget and never forgive. he has little sympathy for anyone who violates herself or possessions.
Easily Sick - If there’s an illness going around or even about to occur you can bet she’ll be one of the first ones to get sick.

Olujimi - Father - NPC Captain - Alive- The Root Mandla - Hardworking but also family-orientated, he often spoils his daughters whenever he is able. Can be a bit smothering with his concern over Kamau’s wellbeing.
Burhane - Mother - NPC Vadaji - Alive - The Solar Mandla - The more stern parent but equally as loving. She taught Kamau the bulk of how to live and thrive as a lion.
Adaeze - Older Sister - NPC Monkai - Alive - The Third Eye Mandla - Despite Kamau receiving the bulk of her parents’ attentions with her illnesses, Kamau got along well with her older sister and Adaeze returned her affection.
