Second wip for FF6 badguy
There are three levels on the "tower of god" of Kefka. This is the whole tower together, very rough at the moment - Feedback welcome!

I really like the composition of this piece and while it isn't symmetrical, there is a good balance to it. The positive vs negative space is intriguing yet not overwhelming to the point it detracts from the piece. As far as a WIP goes, this is already well done with details especially in the bottom half. I'm not familiar with Final Fantasy, but the expressions you've chosen radiate evil and from your tags, I get that was your aim in this drawing.
I do think, however, that the top winged man's right (our right) wing is a bit too short even if you were meaning to foreshorten it. The angle of the shoulders doesn't look to be that severe to warrant such a size difference. Maybe if the right wing was arched a bit more making it look like it was going even further behind the character, the length of the wing would look more natural.
The very top man's head looks like it has something bright behind it based on the lines emitting from the circle behind his head. If that isn't how it is, that's fine, but if it is a bright light, you might want to reconsider the shading on his hood. It looks like the primary light source has completely drowned out the light source behind him. However, once you color this, it may change and I can only go based on this piece as it is above.
The monotone is a great foundation for building up your values and from your colored piece you've linked above, you can really tell that the finished piece will have a lot of realistic depth to it. On another note, the color palette in the post you linked are amazing. Goes well with the whole tower of evil.
Hope this has helped in some way. I look forward to seeing this finished. It looks awesome already.

You're right that wing is off, thanks! I think I erased part of it by accident 
I actually colored part of it completely here -
But I'm not happy with it so I'll be working on it again...I also got some feedback from the contest it was for which is awesome! I think the values are a problem, I know nothing about that so - back to the drawing board.
I kind of like bw to be honest so it's hard for me to use color and think about values and composition all at once...But gotta start!

Ok. I really love the concept of it and when talking about it, I'll try to go from bottom to top.
I like how the background is a simple color, the tower is very complex, so we don't need much to be going on in the background. Adding some stars to the edges won't hurt.
The first figure on the bottm is very good, love it! The upper ones are slightly sketchy and vague in shape and form, but I know that this is a WIP.
The uppermost figure looks off to me, it feels like it shouldn't be balanced up there. If that's the intent, that's great, but if not....you may wanna fix that.
Anyways, very nice for how far you've gone. If you keep it in greyscale, that would be amazing, but if it was in color, be wary of using too many colors!

I think that Kefka is meant to be, to have this sort of metallic look to him.

this is the newest wip. of part of it...
but it used to be WAY too colorful, thanks for the help I needed to be reminded of it...it was like Disneyland for a moment lol. I knew something was horribly wrong but I could figure it out haha!
