Description Unfinished but NEARLY done drawing of The Phantom of the Opera that I am working on currently.

First time I've ever drawn him, even though I've been a Phan ever since I was 8 years old.

Tell me whatcha think about my progress! Like I said, not finished, still working on the background. Kinda lost for ideas on it however.

If anyone wants to give me some ideas, you more than welcome.

Oh my...its beena ges since i checked your gallery (or any gallery on dA)...and im just astonished. This is very good, you know that, right?

If you want to work on this more, my sugestions are: nasal cavum. Add some boned in it, or make septum more rough, real, bone-like. Or add some shades, simple. And tear, perhaps some wattery texture? Honestly, thats all i could think off. It is as i said very good without those touch ups.

Why thank you! Uhhh...I really can't say personally. That isn't false modesty, I just...can't be the judge of my own work. That is for others to do. I see much of what others don't, since I'm the creator. Thank you very much for the positive review, it reinforces me.

As for your suggestions, I took em! I ended up going in a different direction with this picture, and it became darker and so the nasal cavum is darker now, since the lighting would dictate that it should be. Go check it out! I finished it and it's posted. -clap clap- Also, great to see you lurking! I just got back to this place myself.

Extremely cool. Odd thing to notice, maybe, but I really like the work on the clothes. Just the right amount of visibility of detail, so it doesn't look fake or like a big black blob. Black, layered clothes can be such a pain. Way to go!

DUDE. I JUST figured out how to do that with this piece QURLLLL. It IS quite difficult to do, and something I'm GLAD to know now since well y'know...I DRAW A LOT OF DARK THEMED STUFF.

I haven't read that one yet, but my copy should arrive in the mail on monday....God, I can't wait. He tore out my heartstrings in the Leroux books, god help me when I get into this one... XD

Oh ho ho hoooo YEAH....His eyes are SO penetrating....so soulful. Personally if he were standing in front of me right now, I would kiss him.

That and there is a LOT to be said about personality, intelligence and resilience too. Looks? Eh that's just a perk. If you look nice fine, if not...so what?

LOL... Oh, I agree about personality, intelligence, etc. That's truly what makes up an incredible person. Granted, though Erik was not normal in appearance, it only set him apart. One so abnormal visually, no doubt would be abnormal and incredible in many other aspects.

I think a simple red drape would do, he already has a lot of interesting details to look at so frame him in simplicity :>
