Anyway, unfortunately I thought of this AFTER posting that part, but I decided to add that at the party of the Pinocchios, Pinocchio meets this colonel guy who congratulates him for saving Eleonora from the assassins , they exchange some dialogue, he invites Pinocchio to join the army or become part of the patrol, and when Pinocchio politely turns the offers down, the colonel, along with Eleonora, goes on to give him the medal for his heroic effort, right before the party got ruined.
So after the ghosts of Geppetto and Human!Pinocchio told everyone what Pinocchio did, the colonel guy goes from praising Pinocchio, to now revealing that he's been hunting him down since that fateful night, and Eleonora was the bait for this trap.
Ah well, if this ever gets made into a film or I get a graphic novel deal, I'll add all that.

Also, that colonel guy is based on a villain from the series finale of Mokku of the Oak Tree, he's just this crazy asshole with an army who goes around to burn all the children's toys and in the final episode they surround Mokku/Pinocchio and shoot him in the neck in front of Geppetto and his friends. Before ordering to fire, he gives a speech which I largely took and translated from Italian: "Finalmente ti ho trovato, maledetto burattino! Sei un essere diabolico ed è mio dovere distruggerti, E. LO. FA-RÒ!" though the guy is justified here XP
