Description The Queen of the Monsters herself.  Star of the kaiju thriller novels "Project Nemesis, Project Maigo, and Project 731" written by Jeremy Robinson.

A winged kaiju once roamed the Earth, exacting merciless revenge on evildoers, and spawned the myth of Nemesis, the Greek goddess of vengeance. When the body of that first kaiju is recovered from beneath a mountain in the wilds of Alaska, its DNA is used in an experimental organ growth procedure, combining the alien DNA with that of Maigo, a murdered little girl. Thanks to the genetically enhanced rapid growth, the girl quickly grows into a monster, breaking free from the lab and beginning her charge south, toward Boston, where her murderer resides. On the way, she eats, sheds her skin, grows and leaves a hundred mile path of destruction in her wake. And when she reaches Boston, downtown is all that stands between her and vengeance....

Nemesis’s blood isn’t fully understood, but it is powerful. When angered, her blood swirls behind clear orange membranes on the sides of her neck and on her torso. If those membranes are punctured, the blood sprays—and ignites, explosively. In fact, one of her signature moves—self-immolation—occurs when Nemesis stabs her claws into her own chest. But Nemesis is driven by two primal forces, the first is to eat and grow, and the second is retribution. Her insatiable urge for vengeance is what drives her.

Nemesis needs more love!

Just got into reading the 3rd book in the series Project 731, loving every bit of it so far. Nemesis is still the Queen asskicker of kaiju hands down, and those Tsuchi are every bit as nasty as they were in Island 731, but only worse when they transformed into the kaiju-sized Mega Tsuchi. Any chance of you doing some depictions of the various stages of Tsuchi along with the other kaiju that appeared in Project Maigo and Project Hyperion? As for this depiction of Nemesis, you got it down to a fine art. In case you're on Facebook, here's the group page for the Prehistory: A Traveler's Guide podcast www.facebook.com/groups/GApale… and you are more than welcome to join us there.

The series is fantastic!  Finished reading Project Hyperion last week, can't wait for the next one!

Glad you liked this!  I actually have a colored, sort of updated picture of Nemesis waiting in my Sta.sh right now, and I feel it came out nicer than this one.  I do feel that eventually I'll be doing the other kaiju sometime soon.

I actually do have a Facebook account, but I haven't used it in years.  Don't remember my login info, and I'm honestly not a fan of the website, but thank you for the offer!

Just got Project 731 finished earlier today and started on Project Hyperion. Jeremy Robinson truly has mastered the Kaiju Thriller I do feel after reading through Project 731. Those damned Tsuchi are some of the most terrifying kaiju I've seen yet, and the fights Nemesis has with them in that book are some of the most savage and visceral of all the fights I've seen with other monsters. Though she definitely started to kick the ass of the second Mega Tsuchi after Endo bonded with her and lent her his fighting skills and experience. I plan on writing a review of Project 731 and Project Hyperion after I finish reading it. From the first 3 books, what were your favorite moments?

Ooh yeah, I remember now just how gory those tsuchi fights were!

In the first book, one of my favorite moments was when Nemesis was storming into the town and devoured everyone (they described the Mayor's experience being devoured in such amazing detail), and of course the climactic Judgement scene.

In Project Maigo, I loved when Nemesis first rose from the sea and bitch slapped Scrion!  And of course the ending fight and the emotional supposed "Death of Nemesis".  And I gotta say, the scene were Maigo is found by Jon and Ashley was pretty unexpected.

Project 731, it's hard for me to pinpoint my favorite scene because the book was just so intense throughout.  Nemesis really shined in that fight against the Mega Tsuchi.

You're gonna love Project Hyperion!  That was my favorite book so far.

On today's episode of the podcast I recommended another kaiju horror thriller written by William Schoell that I think you might like. It is called Saurian www.amazon.com/Saurian-William…

www.deviantart.com/art/Godzill… Matt Frank's Godzilla vs Nemesis piece makes me just want to see this as an actual Death Battle. More than that, it makes me want to see someone write a crossover story between the Project Nemesis and Godzilla series. Considering how often Godzilla is referenced throughout the series, how would FC-P react to actually seeing Godzilla in the flesh?

Boy that's an oldie!  Interesting, I'll have to look into it.

Godzilla vs. Nemesis eh?  I don't suppose it's totally out of the park.  Especially considering what might seem to be the topic of Project Legion....

William Schoell also has another interesting monster book I also bought and read a while ago called The Dragon www.amazon.com/The-Dragon-Will…

Another oldie from 1989. He's written some other horror novels and has been compared to Stephen King. I'll be looking forward to seeing what Giger and Lovecraft look like in their entirety in Project Hyperion, the titular robot I already know what he looks like due to him being on the cover of the book. I am refusing spoilers to better enjoy Hyperion and after I finish reading it then I might have a more indepth discussion about it.

I know, I saw it.  Looks fantastic!  I've nearly lost hope that this movie would see the light of day, but holy crap!  The news dropped on me like an atom bomb!

Gamera looked incredible in all CGI and I was ecstatic for the original roar to finally be back, none of that stock roar nonsense from Gamera: The Brave. Feel bad for that dude who got eaten by the Gyaos.

That shot where the camera was above the city, with Gamera standing among the smoldering remains of the city was something amazing.  Hell, that whole trailer was amazing!  I wonder if the other kaiju we saw was a newbie, or maybe a redesigned Viras (most likely the former, but the latter would be cool too).

Great trailer overall I agree. Just a little something about our next episode, it will actually be submitted to YouTube at around noon next Sunday so you won't need to rush on the Deinosuchus vs Purussaurus picture if you haven't already started on it by now.

And thanks!

I can say that drawing her can be quite tricky (was it?). She got some features that can be such a challenge, like long neck and long arm. Until now I'm still trying to animate her as natural as possible in my head. Still fail tho

It was kind of tricky, but I eventually got used to it.  Getting things proportioned right was a bit challenging, with her many extremes (eg; a small head, big hands, etc.)  She's also riddled with scalation that requires total concentration.  It was certainly worth it all in the end though!
