Description *laughs epicly*

In the waters of the Icebox Seaway, gravediggers and daydreamers both live their lives, fishing, eating, and among other things. But such leisurely lifestyle cannot be kept without problems. For millions of years, the primordial burdles, large, aquatic mucks, have been rivals of the intelligent dolfinches. Some species, like the infamous Sea Rex have gone extinct. Burdles are mostly robust, fast and solitary. But there is one burdle that breaks the norm of robust, short-necked burdles.
Meet the Seastalker, a rather large burdle equipped with a long neck and thin flippers. From a first look, it is already looks very, very odd. Most other burdles have short, muscular necks, but this burdle is equipped with a long neck and thin beak — it is a fish and eargill eater, but it eats anything that it sees fit. It lacks the strong beak of other burdles, or the robust body of tortoncas its derived from, and it has thus evolved a form analogous to a plesiosaur.
It is relatively well-known among the daydreamers and gravediggers, but not for reasons such as prey that could be hunted, it is a pest of both species
Gravediggers make traps to catch fish (sometimes mistaking metamorph birds for fishes themselves), and the Seastalker has learnt how to exploit this easy food source. Gravedigger fishermen (or 'fisherbirds', lol) usually see in frustration their traps mangled seriously and their fish all taken away by scaly birds who seem pretty smug by ruining the gravedigger's lives.
They also very commonly raid pastorialist nop herds, by taking out the smaller, weaker young ones with extreme precision in their bites. Unlike the tortoncas, these animals have learnt that power isn't everything.
The Seastalker has lived for a good amount of time, for 12 million years. But as the Icebox Seaway begins to shrink, even their unique build and tactics cannot save them, from what is about to come.
