NaNoWriMo 2007 have begun! Mine had a bit of a rocky start, what with the plot I wanted to do abandoning me on Halloween. Fortunately, this guy here and HIS story stepped in and gave me something to write about (yay, urban fantasy!).Anyways, this here is Flick. He's a sprite, which go around inspiring creativity and whatnot. They live in caravans (Flick's caravan is currently camped out in the storage room of an antique shop). However, sprites have been disappearing at an alarming rate... and half of the caravan's Council wants to wait and see what happens.
Flick, as you might have guessed, is not the type to sit around and wait. Yay, proactive protagonists!

*laughs* Actually, Nightcrawler's tail is a spade, not a tuft.
And while I do have a love for Hugh Jackman's Wolverine (and a few other incarnations) that bring him in probably third on my list, I've got a love for a well-done Gambit (only well-done, mind you).

The tuffed tail was one of the things that are a bit different with this guy and the Nightie dude, is what I was mentioning.
Gambit is cool, and also one of my favorite X-Dudes.

Ohh, neat. Is the conception of sprites as mini-muses who inspire creativity a standard one, or your invention? (All I checked was Wikipedia, which is pretty vague/undetailed.) I like your classifications of the three. ^^

... ya know, I can't remember where all I got that from. Oo;; The entry on Encyclopedia Mythica mentions the creativity ties, but I'm pretty sure I got it from somewhere else, too. I'll let you know if I ever remember where.

nice description and coloring..just try to increase the shades...well after reading some comments Flick is really different from Puck coz he is really clumsy after creating a big mess about the magical flower..well i know this is kinda funny but can u tell me the difference bet. a sprite,fairy, and a pixie?

*laughs* They're all varieties of the Wee Folk. Fairies (and just before I get jumped by other people, not the Fae or the Sidhe, just fairies) are the little folk with butterfly wings that love nature and whatnot. Pixies are mischievous little brats who might do all your yardwork, or they might turn around and steal your horses or start throwing things at the back of your head while you're trying to impress a girl. Sprites are little mini-muses who inspire creativity. In my story, Flick gets a little touchy about this - it'd be kinda like people insisting you're, I dunno, German, no matter what nationality you actually are.
