I find this interesting, the darkness of the doors and the pillars of this beuatiful old building, and the drooping folliage fronds around the door. It leaves a sense of eriness, yet the warm autumn colours, the green grass and the sunlight take away from this, you get such a sense that by night this would have a whole different feel and emotion to it (same of a black and white shot). I love the sense of a light vignette to the piece, especially at the top, drawing the eyes to the middle of the door as the stone pillars seem to reflect the light, almost glowing, but then the dull tones of the doors almost suck the light out with such a feel of age and time passing. Brilliant.

I think you would like the "Wiener Zentralfriedhof" - one of the biggest and oldest cemetery in Europe

great light, but that shaft of sun is really
detracting from a really lovely image.

Thanks though I think it kind of is symbolic or rather ironic in a sense, seeing as it is a crypt. I'll probably go back in the RAW file and pull back the highlights on it. How was your Fall? Was kind of disappointed here compared to last with the Elk. Not nearly as many up in RMNP

You know I'm a fan of yours but you really outdid yourself on this one. The lighting is perfect and it is so eye-catching. I want to know all about the house and its history.
