Description A Red Fox Vixen surveys her territory outside of her den as the Kitts look on. Stuff like this makes me happy that I am a photographer....the things we see which others never will get the chance to makes us rich in more ways than one can describe.

What a shot, John. I agree with that comment of how photographers, especially wildlife and nature allows us to catch moments that other people never see in their life. But if you're dedicated to your photography job/passion/hobby/life whatever photography is for each person, then that dedication can have benefits of some spectacular sights caught on camera that people never see or they are overlooked.

Why are foxes so awesome?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DunkleMaterie In reply to BullMoose1912 [2012-08-04 02:16:28 +0000 UTC]

Because they arent cowards that need to gang up in a pack on lone beings just to survive. And because they are cuter as Wolfs.
But I dont even dislike Wolfs so~ much. I just cant stand them.
May foxes rule forever, those with one tail and those with more.

BullMoose1912 In reply to DunkleMaterie [2012-08-04 02:32:27 +0000 UTC]

I do think they're cute, and I like their coloring, but I also like the way they're portrayed in fiction. I honestly couldn't imagine an anthropomorphic animal version of Robin Hood that was anything other than a fox.

Foxes are smart, too. At least in most situations.
Most people dont like Lizards. The snake is said to symbolize ancient wisdom and stuff but of course, they freak most people out.
So the Fox was the only choice if the actor should impersonate some wits.

Wolfs are like the military. Just bring everything down with a platoon.
Tigers and Lions are just too Killer as well and way to powerful. No need for brains.
Hyanas got a bad reputation for actually being corpses eaters... even tough they are said to be smart too.
Rabbits and alike is to defensive and not suited for heroic roles.
Nothing that flies, since Robin couldnt fly. Smart eagles fly off! ^^

Looking back, there was really only the fox.
Wildcats and all are too beasty and hostile.
The Fox has a passive behaviour if not cornered, so they were really perfect.
