Description This one was made immediately after I made Breakfast, I figured I had the equine drawing skill so fresh in my head and in my hand, I'd try and do another hoofed creature, but this one, one wholly original.
So here he is, the Burricornio, or burricorn in english (the original name is in spanish, and "donkeycorn" just doesn't sound as nice), a mythical creature that's never been seen in a Bestiary. You could consider them the unicorn's rouwdy cousins, for if the unicorn is a sacred creature of the wild, the spirit of purity, the moon and the gentleness of nature, then the burricorns are the complete opposite. I utilized mainly greek myth and symbolism behind him, so instead of being a creature sacred to Artemis and Demeter, these guys follow Apollo and Dionysus. Thus, instead of taking part in the sacred rites of nature that are celebrated under the silvery moon, a burricorn is usually the center of the wildest bacchantic parties, celebrating the freedom and... playfulness of nature.
Basically the burricorn looks like your average donkey, with one single horn spiraling out from its forehead. But instead of being made of the whitest stone, like its gentle cousin, its horn is of the blackest wood, accounts saying that it feels warm, and almost pulses with the animal's hearteat if touched. Also, instead of the tufted lion's tail, the burricorn's tail is adorned with a hard appendage that looks a lot like a pinecone. Finally, these animal's eyes are usually of a wild, passionate colour, like gold, red, or in the most special of cases, the colour of wine.
Legends? Well, there are a few circulating, told to me by an old satyr I managed to chat with. They say that water touched by the burricorn's horn turns into the sweetest wine, capable of easing pain and even healing wounds... and in an almost inaudible whisper, he even suggested that the burricorn is the keeper of the secret of making Nectar, the drink of the gods. There are rumors that the horn, unlike the unicorn's, is capable of growing back, and that a flute, carved from a burricorn's horn, is capable of playing a song that can captivate anyone, including gods. On the tail he said there really weren't many legends (actually, I couldn't make any up, so if any of you have any ideas, feel free to tell them.)
Well, there you go. The Burricorn.

It reminds me of the donkeycorn thing in Fantasia (disney movie) He's kinda the side kick of the wine god and all the pretty centaurs.

Oooh, someone else remembers that scene from Fantasia!
You could say my burrocorn was inspired from Bacchus' mount ^-^

Jajaja!

Saludos

Yes, seeing his biggy ear makes me realized it's a donkey. Guess what, this one is sexy

Well, everything's fine, just try to make the body bigger a bit or instead, make the head smaller. That's all. I love the background

Oh yeah, I think you can reduce some of muscular folds. It would make him sexier (and it wouldn't break all bones' rule things, and the bones wouldn't look want to come out through his body). You can change it with deeper/darker shadings.

Wow, the description is as beautiful as the picture itself! I enjoyed it very much, well written! It brings a sense of life to the image that might not be there [link] for the burricorn, I think that your inked lines could be enhanced by tapering the ends of them and giving some unique shape to them, you have a wonderful colouring method that would highly benefit from that!

Oh, very original and interesting Kokiteno. I love how you've made it into a legendary creature already. Great job on his posing, it made me think of a baccanal (is that spelled right?) the instant I saw it. His tail actually looked like a bunch of grapes when I first looked at it. Maybe if you manage to catch a burricorn and you plant the tail in a field that field will be extremely prosperous? Great bg, I love the vibrant colors and the columns. His muzzle looks very good, that inviting smile is just coaxing, "Want a drink?" Great job!

mmm... gotta get me some of that wine he's drinkin Well, not that it would make him look any better, because damn that's one sexay bodeh That background is fabulous, and i really, really love the flask he's holding. I love props!! Nice coloring too. I really love to see you elaborate on mythology and create a history for the characters you draw. Afterall, a history and relation to an actual world is what really makes them so interesting. ^_^

Jajajaja....!!! ¡Sólo con el nombre, ya me partí de risa!

Are all these legends real? I mean... I have never heard about a burricornio, but... lol, if there are unicorns... why not? The picture looks awesome, and I love the smile you have given him... ^^ Damn, your male bodies are better and better with each picture you submit... are you practising a lot or what? Congrats for it! ^^ *bows*

Wow! Really cool! i wish i could do such interesting characters like you! unfortunately, i have the bad habit of developing the character's personality as time goes by..so i tend to change thigs a lot and forget some aspects....+_+.
But this is too damn good!uhm...Regarding the Tail Matter how about this? Since it's a creature related To all the Bacus mythology why not saying..hum...that the seeds or the pine cone itself if eaten (In the case of the seeds, you know, pine seeds are edible and actually taste really good) or if the pinecone is burned/used for making a scented oil or something of sorts can restore the virility and youth of old people or people with troubles in that field....just as a suggestion (I take that since the horn regenerates the tail does so too...) of course that's just a concept...maybe you can suggest other procedure for the same result...but that is up to you^^.
To sum up, great anathomy as usual (Just a little remark i have just noticed, maybe his head is a tad bit big in comparison to his body, then again, i'm not Leonardo Da Vinci, that is just my oppinion), great concept too! very well depicter and carried out wonderfuly.

Here you go! another 10 in my Scale! *hands another of his scales with a 10 engraved on it*.

Gosh! Did "I" wrote all THAT...O_O...well, guess your commenting style is really getting into me heh! ^^ well...it's the least you deserve for all those magnificent comments you give me!

Bro dat is one beefed up burro. O.o When I look at this pic it reminds me of 'Shrek' where Donkey took a compliment from the princess Fiona about being Shrek's trusty steed. "Aw, she called me Trusty Steed. You hear that shrek? I'm a "Steed". ^.^" I'm very sure that was a play on word for "Stud"

Good artwork and anatomy. You're very good with the muslces bro.
