Description I suddenly came up with this character while playing Fire Emblem. :3 It's pretty obvious he's a Wyvern Rider (or a dragon rider), or a promoted class. =/ Well, he's pretty high of rank, considering his cape. But he's a loner though.

Anyways here's his bio:

Born on the small island nation east of Bern, on the continent of Elibe (yeah, if there's none, imagine there's one), Iphraim was the son of a the village's leader.
When he was seven, Bern attacked the nation, wanting to expand their territory. To make sure the island's leaders would surrender and keep quiet under Bern's leadership, they took the eldest son of each leader to the Bernese mainland. Iphraim, being an only child, as wel.
It was during the assault that he got the scar across his face when he tried to defend himself from Bernese soldiers.
He's got several other scars on his body as well...

Anyways, Iphraim was raised as a soldier of Bern, a wyvernrider. He's very mobile in the air, almost unable to be caught, giving him a huge advantage against Archers.
His aiming ability is very good, but he lacks patience.
He's quite short-tempered, but he has his down moments.
Close-range fighting is not his plus point, but he's capable of defending himself.

When time flew, he saw how Bern start to attack all of Elibe, which reminded him of the batlles years ago in his own nation. He refuses to be a soldier of Bern any longer and desserts the army. Pretty much like Heath, yes. But Heath left long before Iphraim, and Iphraim dislikes Heath.

Traveling the land as a loner, he eventually meets up with Eliwood's army, but he refuses to join at first. But eventually he does. Being the outcast of the group, he doesn't really have any friends, but the tactician appreciates his tallents and hangs out with him quite a lot.
Eventually others, like Heath, join their little group. Iphraim could not be called Eliwood's best friend, but they respect eachother.

He got an extremely close bond with his Wyvern (Yeah, I know it's a dragon, but Dragons in FE are different beings, much more godly) and he'd do everthing for his companion.

Ha, I can't write descriptions. D: anyways, rider and dragon done traditional ways, background in photoshop. Hope you like...

I'm glad you like it. ^_^ It's one of the few drawings where I pulled of a dynamic pose. ;3

D-Dragon! Wow, how'd you manage this actioney pose? It's such a beautiful portrayal. And Iphrain seems like an interesting character; I'm kinda jealous of his awesome companion though. It needs a cool name (:<

Correction, Wyvern. FE people have strange views on the difference between wyvern and dragons. Γ”_o From what I got from playing FE7, Dragons were REALLY big, engulfed in flames. Powerful creatures who could not be tamed, a thread to the world when evil would release them from behind the Dragon's Gate.
Wyverns on the other hand, are smaller, able to be tamed and quite friendly if raised well.

I don't know how I did it, I'm kinda surprised it turned out like this. Most of my drawings up to now (I'm really trying to put some action in them. It won't work ;_ were really static. So, I'm very happy I could manage this. XD

I wish I could do something with him except for drawing him and making up stories in my mind.
Well, then I will give you the honour of choosing the name.

Oh, btw, talking about Videogames, guess what I got?

Meeep, so sorry. WYVERN. *commits to memory* It doesn't help when you write the first part of a comment before you start reading the description, eheh.
So, actual dragons are really malevolent in the FE world. I can appreciate that. It makes sense that such large, powerful reptiles would never submit to the will of man. Now I want a wyvern too...

I see great potential here! I say keep trying and practising, because great poses give paintings such great character and great dynamic feel. Certainly an area I'm looking for improvement in myself. Oh the horrors of drawing things from an angle you're not used to...

Oh boy, that's certainly a responsibility *thinks deeply* Your Wyvern looks pretty tough, mister Iprain, so a tough name it must have. Valandar!

GASP! YOU HAVE OKAMI, DO YOU NOT?! If so, yaaaaaaay, if not, burst my bubble and make me enthusiastic about this other game

Not all dragons I suppose. There are these two siblings, Ninian and Nils, who are apparently Ice Dragons from behind the dragon's gate. They are friendly and Ninian even develops feelings for the main Lord, Eliwood, and he as well. She's one of his possible fiancΓ©s and thus a possible mother to Roy (which would make him half-dragon. O_O odd thought...)
I as well... if I'd be a Fire Emblem character, I'd wanna be a Wyvern Rider (or a Mage). They're amazing. <3
It'd be so cute to have one. ^^

Ooh. That I'll do for sure. I want more movement in my drawings... Action. =O
Exactly. ;-; Angles are a pain.

Valandar? That certainly has a great ring on it~ Va-lan-dar... *pronounces it slowly* Yeah, certainly...

Why should I burst your bubble when I can travel along with Amaterasu and Issun? =3

Oh? the way I drew it, he only has two. One on his right claw, and one on his left, although that one is folded, so you can't see it. =/
