Description
American battleship created in 1910. At one time, she was the most powerful ship in the US Navy. The designers increased the strength of the ship's broadside by adding two additional turrets. During World War I she served alongside the British Grand Fleet patrolling the North Sea. After the war she was transferred to the Atlantic. In 1931-32, as a result of the entry into the London Treaty, she was reclassify as training ship, and at the end of the war in 1944, the 305 mm guns were replaced with smaller 127 mm guns and reclassify as anti-aircraft training ship. The ship was decommissioned in 1947 and scrapped the same year. Armed with 6 twin 305mm guns, 21 single 127mm guns and 4 single 47mm guns.
