He didn't just became invisible, he disappeared...
With the third day of redesigning Ben's transformations for a reboot project I'm working on, I present to you Ben's Merlinisapien form: Hide'n Sic (If you are by any chance lost in terms of the name change of this transformation, I'd kindly suggest you reading about it in my previous posts. Now let's talk about our Gecko boi himself.)
This transformation, as one of many that will be revealed in the future, has been robbed of his screen time and forgotten after UA (due to studio's interference, but still), so I'm giving him attention and love that he deserves by putting him on the Survival/starting 10 playlist.
I grew up with franchises like TMNT and Batman, so you could imagine how much I love stealth. And what a better way to be stealthy then being able to climb impossible structures, siletnly stalking your prey's every move and being able to blend with your environment.
The Merlinisapiens are reptile like humanoids, with sharp talons, big tails and 6 limbs that help them climbing the smoothest of obstacles (no, they don't just crawl, they also can walk on their back legz) and are capable of cloaking to fit their surrounding. The process of cloaking, tho it takes less then a second and is instinctive, is quite complex: The Merlinisapien would first scan and quickly study their surroundings with their 270° vision to see what kind of surface, light and color are they mimicking. Becouse they see more than 3 times the colors as an average human, they can determine an exact image they are mimicking.
Their skin, tho smooth and soft to the touch, is actually made of layers of microscopic crystal like cells, that when rearranged, can change the pigment of the organism's skin. So basically what happens is that eyes would create this picture off the things they see and then poject it onto their skin. Thus creating an almost perfect illusion. It's not perfect, becouse sometimes, due to their vision not ranging to the full 360°, some of their cloking might be incomplete at some parts of their bodies or just look like a weird blend of a few images together (usually the tip or the upper middle part of their tale) so to fix this problem, the Merlinisapiens created a special (level 3) techwear that would help them fix their problems.
They also have a strong and powerful tail that they use either for climbing or, as Earth's Geckos do: store their food in them so they can last without it longer. At the tip of the tail is also a stinger, their greatest weapon for offence.
Overall, I wanted to make his body shape more climber/athlete based so it would fit his climbing capabilities. I also HAD to keep that cute smile of his and the RGB eyes, which he licks with his tongue becouse he can't physically blink (God I love geckos).
