Description
This piece is an 8" x 10" that I drew from wonderful gallery her piece is titled "Stay Silent" and can be seen here [link] I do hope that you'll stop by and check out this great photographers gallery.I approached this piece a bit differently than I normally do and I hope that the results are better than my usual portraits. Yes I love to test what I know versus what I see and try to expand not only my knowledge but color scheme... Prismacolor has come out with 18 "new" colors bringing their total to 150 colors in their range... There are still colors they don't have and I mix to achieve. BTW is any color actually "new"? LOL Anyways I will continue to add more color to my pieces and especially my portrait work.
Do you know of an artist named Brian Scott? He works with what I call a limited pallette but can achieve outstanding results in his portraiture!

I think it's safe to say you've figured it out. What sort of paper do you use?

My favorite paper to use is Strathmore 300 series bristol vellum. I use others too and I try to add what paper I've used in the description of each piece especially if it's a different paper.
