Collection: Modernized Historical Fashions
Model: Iris*
Theme Of Collection: Taking major eras of history and putting a modernized twist on the fashions, as if those eras were returning. Mixing haute couture with wearable modern style, using one pallette of blues, reds, golds, cream, and as little black as possible. Designs done in chronological order by historical era.

Design 9: Victorian
Design Type: Evening Gown
Model: Iris (my main PD model)
Model Hair: Long, brown with black ends
Model Race: Latin

Description:

And now for the final gown, the evening gown. It was difficult to choose just one style from the 18-1900s to use for the last design; it was a toss up between Regency (think Titanic and the really high waisted gowns), Victorian (corsets of doom!), and Edwardian (even funkier lookin' corsets, lol). I based this design off of a late vic style (big poofy sleeves n' stuff). There was a bit of Regency influence in this, now that I look at it again, but it's still the same century. The dress is all one piece, made of silks and heavy satins (casa satin, preferrably), but it looks like the dress is of multiple layers. The body of the gown consists of many long seams flattering to the female form, with 3 tiers, the last of which being tulle. The top part involves a partially draped front, extra poufy sleeves, a bustled overlayer beginning under the bust, and a flowy underlayer edged in gold satin bias. Black velvet gloves and a velvet choker are the only adornments, so as not to distract people from looking at the gown itself. It's so perdy!! Me want
