....aaaand if I'm going to Norway bringing gifts to Jayme, there is no way in Hell that I won't bring him a Håkan. Is just how things are.

It's surreal after all this time, all that happened 5 years ago.... my mind is funky with memories, they remain, but they become an abstraction, a cloud I can see yet often struggle to hold. But Håkan remains one of my closest siderians of all time and I am determined to keep that flame alive. There is far too much that connects us, that binds us.... and only more is there to come with time. And while my memories are nebulous in a sense, art is always where I experience a bond anew. Art is magick. Enough said.

I didn't have a concrete event for this one, just an idea. I just wanted to make him a portrait, in firelight, and first I thought of candles, but then this idea came to be. It was a feeling, a notion. Something Jayme would understand deeply, I was sure.... and then he understood it even deeper than I ever thought. He saw in it what I, as the artist, hadn't seen myself. Art is magick, as I said, and this is one of those things that testify of it the strongest. So Håkan wields the Fire, a kind of art in itself.... the red light blows from his past and memories, from the deep Darkness.... it may be behind him, but is not left behind. It becomes power, in time. For now he is quiet in the Dark, but soon.... the Fire will rise.
