A DISNEY GIRL FOR EVERY NATION is a series I invented thinking about Disney movie settings and characters' nationalities. I decided to represent every Disney girl with a typical costume of her nation and the corresponding flag on the background. Nationalities are based on movies, and when the settings isn't mentioned (like in the Little Mermaid or in Snow White) I considered the author's birthplace (Andersen from Denmark and The Brothers Grimm from Germany).I found most of informations in this italian forum topic: [link]
Well, I know her dress is more sober and less beautiful than Mulan's one, but I think she's fine anyway! Sorry for the banal deviation title, I'm not inspired today!

Hi Again I really like your art, Im sorta just starting out so just wondering, how do you get the color. I usually use colored pencils but it never shows as well. What do you use?

Hi! The quality of colored pencils is quite important. I use Derwent colored pencils, but you can find a lot of "brands", like Caran d'Ache, Faber Castell... I live in Italy, I don't know if they're the same on your country, but you can try to search on internet. Don't forget that you have to fix colour with a graphic program (like photoshop), cause scanners are evil and your drawing will never look as well as in the reality!

what do you think about prismacolor markers or pencils? Are they in italy? Ig you know what they are, should I get markers or pencils? And is there anything like photoshop but a lot cheaper? Thanks and woah italy? AWESOME!!

Sure, we have markers, but I don't use them, so I cannot give you any suggestion... Maybe you can try with colored pencils first, then use markers.
There's a very good graphic program, it's called Picasa (Google). The download is free. With this program you can organize all the pictures you have in your pc, fix colours, make cool effects... It's easy to use.

I was just wondering cause we don't have all the types you have, and prismacolor seems to be the best around here! I'm downloading picasa soon, thanks for the tip. I just need the pencils (which im getting on amazon) and I'll download all my pics in color!!! (can't wait)
