Cookiecutter Sharks (Isistius brasiliensis), which grow to 22 inches, did something that the 60-foot Megalodon would not be able to do! In the 1980s, some 30 U.S. Navy submarines were damaged by Cookiecutter Shark bites, mostly to the rubber-sheathed electric cable leading to the sounding probe used to ensure safety when surfacing in shipping zones. Yeah, these fearless little sharks were taking down armed submarines!Just goes to show that bigger isn't always better!

That is true. It occurred to a Tiger Class. And it was just the rubber coating on the front of the submarine.
