Description
Kinda description’ed out from coming up with the bios for these two, but I’m happy with how it turned out. The Derians have been an idea I’ve been working on for a while now, as I always thought it would be a characterful idea for there to be a Rogue Trader house closely allied with an Astartes chapter. A lot of creative possibilities that can come out of that. And yeah, the non-human companion for the scoundrel does have a bit of a Han Solo and Chewie vibe going on, but there isn’t much of a resemblance of character beyond that.

Speaking of, remember back with the old lizardman xenos upload I mentioned that I was thinking about making it a character for a Rogue Trader retinue? That was the beginning of Fwirl. That model was originally going to be him, as just an “unknown xenos.” But, as I put more thought into Fwirl as a character, I decided he needed a more distinctive model to represent him, and a properly identified species. So yeah, the whole 40k kobolds idea was largely worked up for the benefit of a single character.

On the tabletop, Edric would be an Imperial Guard company commander while Fwirl would be a command squad veteran with a camo-cloak.
