#130. Gyarados the Dragon Serpent PokemonGyarados makes a formidable foe. He is brutally vicious and when enraged has been known to demolish entire cities. This vicious serpent spends much of his time swimming the ocean, or deep lake, depths, but he is as capable of swimming through the air as through water. With powerful blasts of hyperbeam, he annihilates his prey, gulping it whole in his cavernous jaws. Gyarados rarely closes his mouth. Fortunately he is also rather rare, bearing little semblance to the Magikarp from which he evolves.
Gyarados is for . Having pored through the literature, I discovered whilst he was always depicted with his mouth open, there seemed nothing to indicate he could not close it. So he did. I think he may have just swallowed one of the yachts.
Incidentally, in my Pokemon TCG collection I have not one, but FOUR holographic Gyarados - including the rare fire-type one. Despite this, I only just learnt how to spell his name correctly.

Hah, I love the background. At first glance, I figured he was just swimming underwater, but then I saw the little boats and the shape of the waves. It's simple, but at the same time it really shows the stormy nature of Gyarados's power. I really like the use of red in the composition to pull attention away from all the blue, but not overdoing it.
Gyarados is one of my favorite pokemon. ^-^

the g is the curly wave, a is the sail of the yacht r is the wave in the top right, a is another yacht d is the curved wave holding it up and s is the river.
man that was a hard find, kudos to you for hiding it like that
