This is a absolutely beautiful piece! I love everything about this, the colors, the shading, the style. And the lava flow is most definitely lava. Would you mind if I referenced some of this for one of my own scenery pieces I'm working on? It'd just be observing the style of how you did, blablabla, and trying to replicate that for a scene I've had laid out in my head for a while now. I wouldn't be copying your scene or anything of that sort.

I wouldn't dare steal scenes or ideas. Just studying the technique... sort of. lol!
Thank You!

I love the atmosphere of this! (It immediately made me change whatever I was listening to before to the lord of the rings soundtrack.)
The lights in the windows and the warm colours make it look very comfortable and snug; I can really imagine seeing this from the point of view of a Thuli coming home after a long journey. And at the same time it all looks so strange and mysterious and there's a certain sense of foreboding because of the magma-streams. I really like them; they seem to be moving really slowly, sluggishly, like molten stone actually would. They nearly look like giant pillars. Very impressive!
I also like how subtle the photoshop touch up is. It really adds to the picture and it's mood, without drawing attention to itself.
PS being fire-proof would be so awesome.

That would have been pretty awesome, yes, but I would never be able to do that with watercolours >_> I mean, I might not be a complete disaster, but I'm definitely not THAT good
I can settle for how it looks now, since I kinda like it. The more time that passes the nicer I am towards it, so I can honestly say that I like it now, yes
And yes, I would, which would suck, since it took HOURS to make
And I take that as a huge compliment, thank you
I would want to draw the rest of the places where these element people lives, but that would demand lots of time and a huge amount of details, so I don't think that I will
Thanks for commenting though

Well, I won't be doing it in Photoshop, since it would be to ruin it
It feels bad enough as it is (with the changes and effects that is) and I will NOT do it all over again in Photoshop
Sorry dude
You know, I think that would be pretty reasonable somehow. I'm still roleplaying like an idiot, and I never run out of ideas and inspiration
I think it keeps my creative spirit easily accessible somehow, and it never really settles down and fades - because I have to keep it active.
So start roleplaying again
I might
I actually did it more often before - for some odd reason - and I kinda like it, even if I find it hard >_> I mean, I'm good at humans and such and can do reasonable backgrounds, but when you remove the humans the backgrounds have to be a lot better, and that's where it fails me I think
The biggest problem is probably that I don't know what to do, or in which medium But I'll figure it out eventually I guess...

This is frikken amazing, give me your skillz, o mighty one!
In all seriousness, I really love it. The lava actually looks like...well, lava.
Which is far better than anything I could've spat out.

Landscapes can be fun if difficult, so congrats on this! I like the lava flowing from the roof there, as well as the concept. Making them fire-people makes sense in a volcanic environment since otherwise it would be pretty hot for humans to be living there. The rocks are nice.

I'm impressed. Landscapes can be a boring pain-in-the-ass to finish, so kudos to you for going through with it. That said, the end result is nice, especially the lighting on the rocks.
