There's probably a bazillion and one little details off with our monster fiend friend here, but I had to stop at some point. Preferably before the episode this piece was made for came out. *COUGH*

Not to mention the fact that I tapered his ear tentacles when they don't do that bugs the hell outta me in retrospect, so I guess details kind of matter after all but fffffffffff

Oh you flatter me! Yes, shortly after beating 305 I went on a binge of drawing Maxageddon. And then realized I had little to no reference so I replayed 305 JUST for screenshots, and soon figured out there aren't that many details to memorize. It's a far less complicated design than one might think at first glance.

Definitely true about his design. This is the only Giant Max I've drawn, and I was working off of images from the press materials and one (not quite optimal) screenshot from 304, so it seemed pretty intimidating at the time. But I think if I practiced sketching him more with better references and just making sure to get the broad strokes of his design right instead of fussing over the details, he'll turn out better.
On a related note, I really love that pointed, downward turn to the corners of his lips. I don't know why, except maybe it ups the woobie factor when he his face expresses anything aside from "RAAARGH VIOLENT RAMPAGE MODE RAAAAGH."

Funny you mention that, since Leah's newscafe thing is essentially an internet cafe/Starbucks. Combined with the fact he bugs Leah so much in her office he'd take over her computer and they'd both stumble upon like...tubgirl or something. Or Rule 34 of Sam & Max :I;;

Max should give Leah that self-help book on emotional constipation his mother read to him when he was but a wee, toddler-aged kit. His mom was really reading it for herself because she could only afford one book that year and she was hoping a bit of reverse psychology would snap her out of her neuroses. It had the unintended effect of ridding almost-baby Max of any desire for acquiring inhibitions whatsoever. The book even has scratch-n-sniff pheromone pages! And yes, this is a real slice from my Personal Canon Pie dedicated to Max. Woo~

Oh boy, you mention pheromones, and all I can think of is Max absolutely soaking himself in those cheap 'as-seen-on-TV' pheromone sprays that's supposed to get all the ladies, to try and override Leah's system to have her fall madly for him sooner rather than later.
