Description I have this strange fondness for Silkie Chickens, and absolutely love to paint them. Well this study served more than just satisfying my inner desire to paint chickens (and ducks), it helped me understand lighting and form...Who the hell am I kidding I just love to paint chickens.

I want to raise one of these one day. Right now, got a mix mash of bantams. Have you ever painted a um...think it's calledΒ a Sebright bantam? Got a male with black, orange fringed feathers, real handsome boy. You might look one up, very pretty chickens, look like they've been painted already.

I just did and those chickens are gorgeous. I love how each feather is outlined with black.

I love silkies! They're one of my absolute favorite birds to raise! They do pretty well in the shows too

It's true, I think they might be perfect! Except if they're white they tend to get dirty, but if you keep the pen clean it's not a problem

That's because Silkies are AWESOME!!! And fun to hug...even if they don't agree.

Something that fluffy is just asking to be hugged.

They are! Honestly if the day comes that I can own a different pet, it would have to be a Silkie...or a duck, or both!

I used to have a flock of silkies. c8 Another chicken with really cool features is the sebright (one of my favorite breeds.) I've got a sebright roo and he's the spunkiest/full of himself/ten feet tall little bird I've had yet.

I have a fondness for chickens and always love your studies of these awesome birds.

Looked it up, the sebright is such a beautiful breed of chicken. I just love how, on some of the birds, every feather looks like it has been outlined with a black sharpie.
