Description 8x10" 29x25cm (maybe) acrylic on hardboard

One last water painting from 2007. My 229th acrylic painting. I did a number of these sail boat paintings that year. One in oils, the rest in acrylics. I started small with acrylics as I was used to painting wet on wet in oils and if I got too large, parts of the painting would dry on me. Eventually I settled on my standard 18x24" size as large enough.

Well, I had painted 228 other acrylic paintings, and probably 150 oil painting before painting this one -- and I was painting for hours each day, I kind'a had to find a way to use oils and thick acrylics -- or get a job.
