12x24" 30x60cm acrylic on hardboardAn improvised piece. Tried out a couple of ideas, and then just started painting what turned out to be the sky, decided on the big mass -- a hill with buildings or castles, above first a city, and then water. Nothing makes too much sense. The name comes from a harbor city I used in a fantasy novel I typed out on a typewriter 40 years ago. Might as well use it for something.

Hopefully I can keep coming up with different ones. That's sort of my goal these days. I had tried several old standbys, but smudged them out and stared out with the smudges (the hill is pretty much untouched smudge).

Great reflections, and I love the way the ships almost look like rocks (or maybe the rocks almost look like ships).
