That looks like a Snow Corn to me, or possibly a Bubblegum Snow Corn (it's hard to tell with the lighting, but if the weird little patterns had a pinkish tinge instead of brown/yellow/orange, then it would be a bubblegum cron. I own an albino corn (they're more bright orange and pink than you'd think), they're really sweet creatures.

This picture brings out all the mystic flair that's assiciated with that kind of animal. it's lovely how it appears out of a dark as an unshar scheme first gaining sharpness and substance as it slowly comes nearer to the vierers eyes. And then finally it's here and stares at you - the eye...

Such a pleasant looking eye - he looks almost gentle and happy to see you!
This an excellent picture! I love the contrast with the dark background, it really creates some drama!

yes, the museum i went to
was poorly named.
very little was behind glass . . .
it was more a live park.

same with mine, it's basically a big bird reserve, with a bunch of other areas with other species, only the more dangerous ones were kept in fenced in pens...or pits

What a beauty! Such a mesmerising eye...
Love the depth of field here, with the focus on the eye and the body soft and blurred.

you know, i've kept this on my list for awhile,...wondering just what to say about it.
i really like it alot. it's so professionally done. i own tons and tons of national geographics
(i use them for reference sources for the most part) and this shot wouldn't look out of
place at all in one of them. you even got a bit of a rock in there which shows how well
the snake can blend in with his surroundings. hell,...i thought from the small view that it
WAS part of him.
it's really a quality shot red.
well done.

my cousin has a bald python that his older brother got him...even thinking a one living that close to me is scary...this pic is very realistic for me

It's a great picture. I love how the coils fade into the background. The shadows on the rock also make for a really cool effect as well. Great, as always, sorry for the late comment though.

This is indeed wonderful! I shot a snake through the glass @ the local store, but I got these gnarsty reflections from the glass.. but it still turned out good (my featured deviation). You've managed to focus this almost perfectly, and it's really, REALLY good.

Fuck I hate snakes but this one is attractive, so I will let thyne live!
The scales are really crisp in detail and the amber eyes jump out at me. I really like how you have its body in the bkgrnd and then its head slithering across in front. Nice lighting too.

Definatly not albino. Its Leucistic. Which means lacking all or almost all pigment, but with varying eye colors.
That snake's eyes definatly aren't pink, which would make it an albino.
How big was it? Looks more like a kingsnake to me.
Great shot.

it was a medium-sized snake
but i thought a kingsnake was
reticulated red, yellow, and black?
