Description
Full digital. Tried to play with color a bit.This is a character from a personal comic project which may or may not ever become actualized. Things like no time and no writing talent keep getting in the way. Her design will probably change half a dozen times before the story is done but it's still fun to do these slicker finished pieces rather than just sketches all the time.
I hope you can tell from the picture that she's kind of an unpleasant person.

don't let no writing talent keep you down. Some of the best action movies of the 80's had no writing talent.. one liners like terminator's I'LL BE BACK. u know? so uh keep it minimal and you should be safe. later.

Very beautiful! I love the differences between all the birds: the ones with the skeleton heads at her feet, the dead one in her hand and the alive(?) ones on her head. That all, combined with her clothes, could make you think that she is some kind of a voodoo witch, but that's cleary not the case: she seems too majestic to be a woman who would have such a close bond with nature. Actually, her bond seems stronger with power and death, and that makes her so much more dangerous and powerful that 'just' a voodoo witch.
Great work with her design, her aura and her pose: I love your character!

The loaded palette knife is my particular favorite, but sometimes I also use a low opacity round oils brush. Only for very soft edges though. Not much of that one in this piece

*That out of the way, truly appreciate the proportions. Not too thin. Not too heavy. Not too exaggerated like ninety percent of female forms out there it seems... Excellent detail work on the 'skirt/dress'

Beautiful painting! Love the color temperatures. Only crit would be the hard edges on her cheek bones. Might be a stylistic choice, but i think a more natural approach might fit the image better.
