Love the stories you put behind the drawings, very logical and stuning at the same time, keeping the fantasy on it.
i love how the body of the angel is darkened, highlighted and the wings and the halo just fade behind him. The body of the angel looks simply sublime. just one thing that i don't like, the rosem the vines with spikes look really cool, but the rose itself i think it's missing something

Awesome! The concept makes sense and the drawing, as always, is something unexpected

No need for it to fight. I'm sure if most people saw it, they'd run away (I know I would!).

I like it, very much. also, it kind of reminds me of Azrael when depicted in Darksiers. ont know why, though

hah don't worry, it's a game, it's quite good, actually. but the... halo aroun his head kinda reminded me of that game, however, it's a very good drawing!

Touching description much... An outstanding point of view. I'm surprised you can keep this up, you have an amazing perception of so many things!
I like that you actually did some ΓΌber simple background... Not to mention foreground.

I really like this drawing, and this is really well done...
But what makes you think there is no war in heaven? Heaven is constantly at war with hell for people's souls...And even if it wasn't, how would you explain the cherubims that guard the way to the tree of life in Genesis 3:24?
I'm sorry to bring this up, I just like people to have a bit of accuracy when doing historic/religious figures.

Ah, don't make me enter the religious debate haha. I meant there is no war IN heaven, I mean, why would angels have to fight? what would they fight about? Aren't they perfect beings? Besides, the precipitation of death is unholy, it is a blasphemy against life, then so, why would angels commit crimes against their own commandments. Besides, why do angels fight for human souls? If there is free will indeed then why would heaven/hell intervene? The whole genesis thing is true, and so is saint Michael who carries his sheathed sword and the angels of revelation with blades comming out of their mouths, etc. The thing is that biblical imagery is centuries old. It is based on images and ideologies of ages past and nowadays spirituality needs to embrace the individual.

IN heaven, yes, I see your point there. And I understand the thought process behind the death/war for souls argument, but think about it: demons aren't actually alive. Thus, they cannot actually be killed, in the same way angels can't. Angels can fall, yes, but at that point they are cast out of heaven and become a demon.
As for why they fight for souls, well according to the texts we'd be pretty screwed it they didn't. They fight for our souls because the demons fight for them as well.
And I agree that Biblical imagery is centuries old...But the funny thing is, going back and looking through some of the descriptions, angels and cherubs actually look less like the winged humans we've come to know and actually seem closer to something like the enemies in Bayonetta. xD
Point being, if an angel would take on the aspects of hell, it would become a demon (after all, that's how we got the first demons-angels falling with Lucifer). And at that point, why would it fight its own kind if salvation from such a plight is impossible? Romantically, yes, it makes for a wonderfully dramatic story and again, it's a neat concept. Just not to plausible.

I don't really want to get into a religious debate because either you or me will end up unconsciously insulting other (maybe not each other but another person's) beleif. You take the point as a physical thing, like angels are beings of flesh that can weild swords, while I beleive them to be more forces or elements. So as long as we have that difference we will never reach an agreement, for I beleive in heaven and hell but not as places but as two sides of the same coin, two inner worlds inside human soul, and different for each individual. Hence, the forces known as angels would/should never stain themselves with primal acts as war or violence, as they are the opposite of order, they are means of chaos (demons). Anyway, that is more or less my beleif; I could write a whole testament of that but it wouldn't be the point. So your point of "religious art being 'correct'" really applies here, since it applies to my beleif. It is really a matter of interpretation

Ok, I can agree to that. Sorry if I started getting a little...Not sure what word to use, but apologies nonetheless.
I misunderstood your beliefs on the subject, and so I misinterpreted the meaning behind it.
Anyway, kudos on the artwork, again. Keep up the good work.

Stop making my brain explode D: This is like a perfect concept when it comes to angels, and the drawing itself is absolutely amazing, i love that you added the rose metaphor into the description as the rose is already drawn in.
