Soul of Cinder is the final boss of Dark Souls 3 (at least in the main game... Dark Souls, where even which character qualifies as the final encounter is up for debate XD). It is the amalgamation of all past Lords of Cinder, guarding the first flame and serving as the final trial to test adventurers for their might. Should they succeed, the flame is theirs to tend. If the flame deems the recipient worthy, their body and soul are burned to reignite the flame to continue the Age of Fire. If not, they are simply burned to ash and are unsuccessful, becoming an "unkindled" should they return to the land of the living.

From a functional standpoint, this is my favorite boss in the series. Hear me out here Dark Souls fans. This boss technically has more movesets and abilities than any other in the series, and this is due to the first phase of the fight. In the first phase, this boss exhibits a behavior that actually lines up with its lore, possessing several movesets that line up with the main ones that players use (Quality build, faith build, meta build, and whatever the pyromancer build is called. Interestingly the strength build is completely absent, though the dex build appears in both the pyromancer and meta forms of the boss). Then there's the second phase, which is essentially an updated and revamped version of the final boss of the first game. Complete with a remixed variant of the original score as well. The whole thing is just epic, complete with a dying sun in the background!!! This fight is both fun, a bit of a challenge (though hardly the biggest challenge the game has to offer), has an awesome score, and a beautifully fitting scenery to match. One of my favorite bosses of all time!

I wish this came out better, but I had similar issues with editing as I did with Gael. It simply just does not look as good as it does in person. Sorry about that, but there's only so much I can do with my limited skills. This was, however, very fun to draw. I wanted to do a full-body at first, but I thought one with the sun in the background would look better with a headshot. I hope you like this one!
