Ooh, he's so pretty! I love his name. It's cool for a bird to be named after the King of Faeries. Good luck with his temper. Lucky you for being able to work with them.

he is absolutely gorgeous. young birds are really fiesty, so i don't envy you there, but i do envy that you work with birds of prey. and i agree with you on his color. it's boring with just white, though it can be pretty with how snowy they look...

I absolutely adore Gyrs. I like them all white, but I also love when they are salt and pepper like this. Can we get more photos, and full body photos of him?
LOVE the little fuzzy head!

I will try and remember to dedicate the next one to you then. I should have made them name him Nighthawk!
He won't stay salt and pepper. He'll be more or less pure white with black wingtips when he's an adult. I'll try and get some full body photos, but like I say he's not an easy customer!
Lol yeah he's still fuzzy wuzzy - and he's only just fledged despite being the oldest imprint. All the peregrines, even the youngest, fledged before him! He's such a wuss...

ahhh, to each their own time. gyrs are bigger, maybe he just needed a bit longer.
Sounds like he is going to be beautiful either way. I'd love to see more photos of him.
if you ever want to dedicate one to me- if it's a girl, you can call it Tienna. it was another variation on the original Nighthawk name. Nighthawk became The Only Nighthawk became TNHawke which became Tienna Hawkins. Lol. Very long story behind all that.
