Marriage Vows : A Guide to Mate Ceremonies in Chevalin
Here is a small guide to traditional marriages in chevalin! By no means do your characters have to go exactly by these descriptions
but this is basically what happens in each herd traditonaly. Below, there are steps to how you can have your characters officially mated, and what benefits it will give you and/or your characters. It also has some disadvantages - so make sure you read through!
How to officially have your character mated
1. Rp your characters up to the point they would be married.
2. Purchase "Henna and Pearls" OR "Flowers and Jewelry" from BaYagu
3. Draw a picture of the wedding, or the proposal, upload it and link it to the group in a note!
( This can be a single collab, a single picture done by one deviant, or two separate pictures )
4. Your characters are now officially mated!
What happens if my character is officially mated?
Honestly not much, except that you get some fancy items (pearls for the exiles for the characters to where, or
a circlet for the stallions tail, and a tiara for the mare in the Olde herd). You also get a discount on the "Rams Horn Item"
This item allows your character to have a foal - and a character slot to go with said foal

So Alabaster's first love sorry Angelia! ended up leaving the group and the second mare's creator changed her mind on their relationship. I figured he might end up marrying one, but it wouldn't work out, so he would marry the other, but in the end it all just fell apart xD. One 'died' while the other didn't return his feelings.

Sort of a stupid question, but do wedding supplies and ceremonies only matter to mare/stallion couples. (I'm assuming part of that depends on the herd/herd leaders as well)

Nope <3 If two stallions want to get married, or two mares they would use the same items - however they'd still have to seek permission from their leader(s) so of course depending on the leader they may have to get married in secret xD

It's probably because they're lumped in with mares for having mare-like qualities.
