Description
An Outer Entity known as the Hunger Within the Stars. Slain by Helios and the Three Knights during the Siege of Aether, Asteroth was reduced to an immaterial form, bound to the void as a whisper.
Hundreds of years later, Asteroth's consciousness was gradually summoned by Necromancers in the arid desert of Pyros and used to gain insights into dark sorceries considered blasphemous by the followers of Magnus. The more insight the necromancers draw from communion with this entity, the more they crave the taste of human flesh; sacrificing innocents in their rituals and sharing these offerings with their Undead Lord.

A city was later erected in the name of this entity, guarded by legions of undead abominations known as the Devoured, modeled after the entity's former appearance. The Necromantic Cult to this entity later fell at the hands of the Paladins of the Church of the Seven Gates, erected in the mountains towards the east of the city of Asteroth. The City was cleansed by the Church in the name of the Mother of Light and remains guarded by the Church to this day.

Small groups of Necromancers still gather in the wilderness, calling out to Asteroth through dark rituals in hopes of reclaiming their city.
