Legends tell of an ancient city of gold nestled in the far reaches of Bhergoz, where men lived peacefully, before the tyrant-king Bhergoz unleashed the orcish horde against the other races. Fearful of the fallen god's armies, the primitive sorcerers of Xibalba called out to their gods and false idols, awakening the power of the Promethean Flame that lay dormant beneath their blood-soaked temples. And so Xibalba, the great city, fell to the wrath of Tartarus, and became one with the realm of fire and sulfur. Its denizens scorched and swallowed, its warriors forever cursed to walk among the ardent coals of their blasphemy, and their city, forever shining as a profane sun beneath the earth; cradling the worm that will inherit the void...
