That's the thing here. Can you really say that about Mianite ?
By the same logic, you could very well say that Ianite is an inconsiderate coward who can't stand up to her obligations nor take responsability for unforgivable actions that, though unvoluntary, were still her own, and that Dianite is a childish prankster whose only desire is chaos for the sake of selfish pleasure, with no consideration for the people whose demise it's bringing about.
By contrast, if you can say that Ianite is a peaceful Goddess whose only desire is balance and that Dianite is a skilled prankster and a charismatic merchant, can you not say that Mianite is a god who is true to his principles and seeks order and stability ?
Every God in s2 did something to be ashamed of, not just Mianite. So why would he be the only one to get shite for it ?

β’He has a major ego, as demonstrated in the general history book when he told everyone under his protection to build a statue of him.
β’Him and his followers oppress gods and their followers even if they have done nothing to Mianite, for example, Helgrind's treatment to And or and Mianite's treatment to his siblings.
β’His only S2 appearance so far was when Syndicate gained the Bow Of Dianite and he started shooting lightning at him.
β’He fired Guard Tom.
β’He stole Dianite's factory.
β’He locked up Andor and Steve for being followers of other gods.
β’His guards tortured and beat Andor.

- Helgrind wrote that book, not Mianite. We know that Helgrind is a broken man who greatly admires Mianite and hates Ianite, but as for Mianite himself, we still don't know shite. Besides, what if he asked a statue from people he protected ? If he's gonna go through the effort of protecting dozens of villages, he might as well get something in return. That may not be selfless, but it's not selfish either, it's just an exchange.
- Once again, Helgrind oppressed followers of other gods, not Mianite, and we know about the state of mind of that man. Also, Mianite's treatment to his siblings ? It's never been confirmed that Mianite ordered Dianite's death, and him feeling relief at the funeral is nothing close to evidence. As for Ianite, as far as I'm concerned all he did was ignore her.
- Tom kept using that bow to crash people and Mianite's apparition was only a Deus Ex Machina the writers used to prevent any game breaking from Tom.
- From an objective point of view, Guard Tom got fired because that's what happens when you fail at your job. Also, him getting fired is more the streamer's fault than anyone else's.
- Dianite was dead and since Ianite went away there was only Mianite left to make use of it.
- Dianite, as the economy leader, probably locked up/got rid of any potential competitors, so Mianite wouldn't be the only one to have locked up someone for unvalid reason
- Mianite is responsible for the prison, not for what indirectly happen inside ; the same happens in IRL prisons
I'm aslo going to add the following points :
- People seem to forget or ignore the little fact that Dianite kinda sorta revealed to Tom he wanted chaos and that once he'd get his body back he'd take over
- People also seem to forget or ignore the little fact that Ianite kinda sorta left when everyone needed her and then anihilated her own town and whether she was aware of it or not it doesn't change the fact that it was her responsibility. Adding this to the fact that she would've seen the Taint monster and could've destroyed it had she not left everyone behind years ago. And it doesn't matter if she left because she was sad, she's a god, she has responsibilities, and it's because she ignored them that we got in the shite we were in at the beginning of s2.
- Furthermore, people once again tend to forget or ignore the little fact that Mianite DID in fact protect dozens of villages, and I don't see why it should be his fault that other villages were destroyed. As far as I'm concerned Dianite couldn't protect anyone because he was dead, and they could've been protected by Ianite but she ran away.Β
I said it and I'm gonna say it again, "Every God in s2 did something to be ashamed of, not just Mianite. So why would he be the only one to get shite for it ?"
Look, I'm not saying that Mianite is a good guy. I'm not even team Mianite, in fact I'm no team at all. All I'm saying is people just point him as the bad guy when in reality he's not any worse than the other gods. The only reason people think "he smells" is because he happened to be on the opposite side of the streamers, whose point of view we gets.
I'm not telling you which side is actually good and which side is actually bad, I'm telling you that if you shift your point of view ever so slightly, you will see that it's not all black and white.
I'm telling you that it's in fact very very grey, and that the point of view and side of the battle we got isn't as white as people seem to think it is.

I think it should be in a perspective of Lieutenant Al, King Helgrind, Guard Tom, and any other significant "enemies"
Dividing Mianite S2 into story arcs, lieutenant and King will be in the first story arc, Guard tom will probably be right before inertia- (where ever there is another threat to team Dianite/Ianite)
If you really want to go with this project, then I suggest that it beginsΒ inside a castleΒ kind of with king helgrind and andor discussing matters about how Al is better than him as a soldier, which could be Al inheriting the kingdom.
(I think this makes sense especially because of how Al got the peace keeper sword and not andor
then someone comes in (could be farmer steve for all I care,Β or just some random person) barging through two giant doors yelling about how some guys crashed into one of the towns ships, which is how they arrived.
Anyways as much as I want to help to your brilliant idea, I gotta crap.... If you want to take this in your own direction, i'll stop but I think this beginning is probably essential to set the mood
PS. I think you remember me, but i've been really enjoying your work, Its cartoon-like, yet gives a nice serene feel to it. Good luck, have fun.Β

Well, the way I was going to do it is have it start at Dianite's death in the point of view of an unamed original character, and then have some POV switches with existing characters and maybe one or two OCs thrown in... Have 'em meet Al at the beginning of the 10 years gap before the time at which the streams happen, and then kinda have Al, Guard Tom and Helgrind's story seen through his eyes, or something.
In fact, I kinda already started it that way... Prologue is out, the fic is called "Apologia".
PS : I do remember you. Thanks~

Even though I don't think he finds Steve or Andor or Ianite as the bad guys, he's probably the best guy for the POV in all seriousness

No I was saying that in both seasons I didn't like mianite, I don't care for Dianite ether but in season 2 Β he is funny, as for Ianite I don't like season 2's she is too weak and she fails at being a good god she don't think about her followers or the life's of others just herself and her family and dianite is too into money and can be a bit too silly for a dark god but as for mianite he doesn't really change for me I mean he isn't different to me I just order is what he was after in the first season too but now he will do anything it takes to get his way but I haven't seen it so far, but I am a Ianite follower and that has not changed even know I don't like how she is in this world I still want to see her become the goddess I know she can be. Mm... I used to be a Dianite/Ianite follower. Recently I decided to stop following any god.
Dianite's ideals are just too far from those I ususally prefer to pursue, and well, Ianite...
Ianite is the goddess of balance. Not justice, which is what I think is the wisest to seek. Recent events have started to make more and more clear the fact that these two things, though commonly counfounded, are not the same thing at all.
