Description I'm so tired of all those people who mix up styles like gothic, emo, punk and lolita!
So I made a stamp^^

Please, people, just because you were something black or unusual, it doesn't mean you're emo!

-------------------------EDIT----------------------------

This stamp is meant to be used by goths or people who support the gothic style. I am not trying to start a discussion about weither goths are sobbing loosers or not.
By making this stamp I think I've made it clear that I personally care about these styles. In fact I support both of them.
I do not have any comment to your prejudice.
To everyone thinking that goths suck, it is nice that you have an opinion, but please, I never asked to hear it.
In fact, leving a comment saying "I don't care about the difference, both suck!" will be just as random as leaving a comment saying "I like my strawberries with ice cream!".
I REALLY couldn't care less.....seriously.

So if you don't like this stamp, don't look at it, don't use it, and don't comment on it. Go use your time on something more productive.

All further comments on this matter will either be hidden or marked as spam.
Yes, that is my right to do, and I will do it, just because I can :3

Thank you.

What does emo mean?

It’s just fashion and music genre that branched off of punk, people whine about it a lot and bash it acting like everyone who likes it acts a certain way when that’s not true at all as most emos just are into the fashion and music.Β

They do share one thing in common though. They were black clothes and they're whiter than the kkk convention

I know right, One time I was at school I took of my gloves just for a second and the girl next to me snatched my wrist and was like "OMG you don't cut!" and I'm just like "Um no..." and don't get me wrong not all emos cut (one of my friends is emo ironic huh) so yeah sorry for my rambling...Β

so true! short funny story: i'm german, and i saw a short documentary on tv about emos a few years ago. at one point they interviewed one emo kid and it complained about the fact that no one liked emos especially not gothics. at that point, some goth guy walked by in the background and yelled: "emos sind scheiße!" (= emos suck) i was so happy to see that xD

LunicornArt In reply to gorgor666 [2013-09-13 13:16:53 +0000 UTC]

Hahah
The problem is that when people confuse the two, they instantly get mad at each other D:Β
I understand why people have trouble separating the two (and then there's all the different types of goths like cyber, etc. and the scene kids, who're not really emo and everything is complicated). But concluding that all "black-dressed" people are the same is a bit too simple. They have to see that there's a difference in style, right? Β

The biggest problem is that people try to differentiate Goths and emos on their outfits whenever Goth does not have a particular outfit style as Goth is not a fashion statement, it's music.

Kemonoaya [2012-01-08 09:13:37 +0000 UTC]

I am somewhat gothic. I love dark things and scary things (not all of them but the ones I understand) but I also love cute things like animals and I do not hate pink except if it's overdone aka obsession and I always try to look on the bright side of everything because I know there is a little.

But not all emos cut themselves. It's the suicidal ones who do it. Emo is actually a music genre.

Oh my god know how that is I don't really wear any unusual clothes(because the only clothing store where a live are am eagle and abercrombie and fitch so I never really got the chance) but if I did I'd lead more towards goth/punk because I love both but the thing is emo has become a fad so it's what's popular so that's what everyone associates it with ugh it's so annoying

LunicornArt In reply to FaithWhite [2011-07-28 00:07:02 +0000 UTC]

Tell me about it! :3
My class mates has always acted just like yours. People who doesn't think much of the styles tend to see no difference whatsoever. They also seem to believe that all people dressing in the "emo" style hates everything and wants to die. Poor uneducated people. Just keep correcting them and maybe one day they'll learn xD

argh, i know! they always said to me "wow, u wear a lot of blak emo girl" and i got furious, so i said "im not emo, im not goth. i just like to wear dark clothes!" and their like "wtf is a goth?" then i explain them everything and then thier like "like.... wats the difference?" so i wasted my time explaining them wat the difference is, and still they dont understand..... but now they've started getting it right >.>

LunicornArt In reply to falconlord5 [2011-04-03 11:20:25 +0000 UTC]

As long as we draw the line between people dressing like emos/scene kids and people who are really depressed. I've known a lot of people dressing emo-like who's never been cutting themselves or writing sad poetry. I also love emos with a sense of self-irony Same goes for goths!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

falconlord5 In reply to LunicornArt [2011-04-03 17:20:09 +0000 UTC]

Those who are actually depressed, aren't emo's either.

Emo is a teen-angst variation of Punk ('wanna-punk' as a friend described them) who like to think they're depressed, but they're just singing the same recycled pop garbage as everybody else.

Depression, totally different.
