Description Sonic SatAM Fanart

The evil (and crooked) SteamBotnik uses his blimps of poisonous doom-gas to destroy the Great Forest. Oh noes!

XD I need a good Steampunk look for Robotnik.

That's actually pretty cool! The lower image looks specially evil and creepy and is a nice contrast with Snively looking adorable and even kiddy.

Now Sonic won't be able to get close to him without having a coughing fit. XD;

Heh Sonic probably already can't get close to him on account of Robotnik's bad breath

Also, thanks

If that's so then Snively's nose must not work even if it's that big because Robotnik loves getting on his face all the time.

Hmm, this is certainly a fascinating rendering, Lupienne. (I have always liked the boldness of your artwork.)

Foremost what I like is your use of dominant sepia tones in your work. It gives it the appearence of being a depicted record of something which has already occured, like an old news statement - or perhaps something which might have been.

Your overall compositio is quite interesting, and I like the triangular balance which the two depictions of Robotnik and the one image of Snively possess. The manner in which you have the image further divided by that plume of toxic smoke, and otherwise surrounded by images of Steam-o-tropolis (heh, you even included the classical 'o,' you sly person) is also fitting to the composition. Robotnik's lower expression is suitably evil, even gleeful, while his above depiction has that sense of mischevious surety. Snively, likewise, with his upturned gaze and solemn expression, is a fine balance.

My only question is over Robotnik's robotic/mechanical hand in the upper depiction. Is he holding onto his cape, ready to move into a dramatic turn, his cape aflutter?

Thanks again for the excellent work, Lupienne. It's always good to see. (Now, if only I could get over my own disregard of my work and see to my own projects - ah, if it weren't for those two plagues of life and time...)

ooooh, this looks quite fun. I like the ideas spinning around in here. Will be interesting to see if you do improve the nice idea you already have for Julian. ^^
