Description
This is the Water Mascot for the Camp Feral! conbook. I’m very much displeased with the way this looks in comparison to the Earth Mascot. I really can’t draw scales apparently, and I banged this out in about five or six hours in pretty much a single sitting. Unlike the Earth Mascot that probably took me about 10 to 12 hours to complete and took me three days. So it looks noticeably rushed in comparison… but… as much as it hurts me to say this, I think it’s good *enough* to be submitted. And since I’m entirely out of clean and good art paper right now, I can’t really redraw it. So, just… son-of-a…Again, I decided to add my own little flairs to the drawing and it doesn’t resemble the original reference draw in it’s entirety. And typically I’m pretty decent at drawing females because that makes up most of my artwork, but nope... not this time.
Yeah, I really just don’t like this drawing at all, but here it is anyways…
I used all the same tools in creating this drawing as I did with the Earth Mascot.

I think why your displeased is cause the face looks a tad strange, and the left part of the jaw line is bit funky too, still

It was pretty bad all around, lol... This one I just knew was off, and it was banged out in a fraction of the time I normally would do something... It actually didn't qualify for the book, lol! One sitting, that's almost unheard of with me.

It's funny you should mention the tail... It actually kinda bugged me a bit because I felt it sorta messed up the flow of the image in my opinion.
But about ending images like that, it's one of my favorite things to do. I don't really know why, but it seems more artistic if you cut it off somehow like that. Boarders too, are fun like that. Though, it could also be my laziness and a valid excuse for not "finishing" an image too.

I was actually debating on whether or not to make her sad or happy/content. I just asked my friend here, "Happy or Sad?" and he said, "Happy, why be sad?" So it was decide then.
I used the exact same stuff on this one as the Earth Mascot. In fact, since I'm short of paper, I deliberately left a space on the bottom of the Earth drawing, so I could fit this image on it too. But now I don't know where I'm gonna get the paper from now... maybe erase some of my crappier art and draw over it... I dunno.
I have someone sending me some paper though, I hope it's good stuff.
