H I S T O R Y.
Ling was raised alone by her older sister, as their parents were dead. She has been employed under the Xin family since she was 14. For the next 10 years, her duties were two-fold: To look after the Xin residence, and to take care of Ku. She's known him since birth - even though Ku was 4 when she started working for them - and has been responsible for feeding him, clothing him, and supporting him along with his father. After Ku left for Japan, she remained behind in China to continue her employment with Xin's father. However, she was very recently attacked and hospitalized, which prompted Ku's return to China until her release from the hospital. Ling was fired by Ku's father and is now currently employed under Ku. She will be staying in Japan with Ku until further notice.

Her hairclip and Ku's hairband came as a set. She gave him that hairpiece when Ku was really young.
Although she is a mother-figure in Ku's family, she is not romantically involved with Ku's father.
Her bag is very important to her, for reasons she hasn't even disclosed to Ku.
