we all remember 5th grade computor class... and the glorious amazon trail... that you always played for five minutes before dying of syphi-cockto-gonorre-phoid... just all of a suden ;_;but anyway, because icontinfoil5: was able to i believe (correct if wrong) help me with some of the accesories in contests, and some questions i had... so he earned a request, and he requested a shiney milotic... simple enough, but... i was at the mall the other day, and decided to draw it there, but i didnt finish (thankfully) because i had the wrong colors in mind... its dumb that they made the "fins" blue, and not the other scales... when the reds are all the same :/
maybe its a texture thing?
but anyway, im happy with the result... accept the fade effect on the side :/
i wanted it to be more to one side, but i odnt like the WAY its kinda cut off :/
but i was surprised how well the scanning went on the first try
Pokemon are © to the creators... all the same i dont want this used by anyone, for redistribution, use, or stealing... got it?

How do you come up with the ideas for these new Pokemon, and how do you manage to draw in the same style? Do you take inspiration from the existing stuff?

im not one o them stuff shirt elitist vainglorious money making artists that everyone on DA knows
um... i dunno really... ideas come through my head so quickly... i have no real regular thing i can tell that sums up my inspiration...
though this was a "kiriban" so the idea was given, i took it and molded it into my own thing :}
i think a lot of the style comes from using my colored pencils :}

I love the Amazon... though it's sad that deforestation is destroying most of it... :[ Anyways, I love the lines, and how you shaded this... it's so smooth and shiny. Haha, the Chatots in the back add that 'tropical' look to the whole picture. And the Milotic is really beautiful and elegant-looking, too!
