This is a character I've doodled on and off for the past year. When trying to figure out what to draw recently, he popped up, and thought he'd be a fun challenge to paint in watercolor (what's looking to be my new go to medium.)Related content

This is really good. I love the original design and the colouring is immaculate. I know how to difficult it is to paint with watercolours, or at least I personally find it very difficult.

Absolutely amazing character! I love that plume behind his head, and the one eye! The tusks go great with the arms as well. The simplistic style of background just gives him such an otherworldly feel!

Thanks man, though being an Elephant/Mammoth skull, that's not actually an eye, it's I believe where the trunk connects. A nostril of sorts.

Lovely technique, I absolutely want to see more watercolor from you.Β Lovely creature, birth and death... the extremes of life everything has to go through, very well blended into a single image.
Goes fanatically well with the melancholy I've been feeling lately.
Someone I deeply care about is mourning at the moment, I'm offering them all my support, specifically insisting on the importance of celebrating the life and the joy shared with your loved ones in moments of loss and sadness.
Life is made of both sides, and it wouldn't be the same if we could simply skip the darker times, right?

Haha, I have a band that does that for me with each of their albums. That's something I wantd to capture with this character is that it's about the⦠ahem, circle of life, not just the life part, but living, dying and rebirth etc.
