Thanks to Tenzin's advice, Korra and The Mane Six all discover their inner power and spirits, their Elements of Harmony don't come from gems and Korra's true spirit doesn't come from Raava...but them their own hearts and their friendship.
The girls combine their powers and together they destroy UnaVaatu and restore the magic of Equestria which was fading. In the process, Korra has proven herself to posses the integrity, compassion, devotion, integrity, optimism and the leadership of a true princess and earned her wings and alicorn magical powers (which come from the star on her forehead). Thus transforming into the very first Human Alicorn, or "Korcorn" as one of my FanFic reviewers calls her.
At first Korra says she doesn't believe she deserved to become a princess but Celestia reassured her by saying that she did because despite her mistakes, Korra did everything she could to fix it and grew from her mistakes and became wiser.
"Learning to take responsibility for you're own mistakes and fight to correct them is a valuable lesson to learn. You are an inspiration to us all, Princess Avatar Korra"

So are the wings a permanent addition, or are they similar to the Humane Six's antro-equine features, disappearing when the magic has dispersed?

Could you do a pic of several couples in your fic, namely Shining Armor and Cadence, Bolin and Asami, Korra and Mako and Twilight and Flash (oh BTW, Twilight, Flash, Shining and Cadence are all humans) on dates in Equestria and Republic City?
