I feel the same! The old sprites are nostalgic, and even if a few people think they are "ugly", the old games had a feeling that the new games lack totally: exploring a world that you don't know what you'll find. With internet is easy to see all the pokemons, what the final evolutions will look like, what pokemons you will find in parts of the game. Back then it was really amazing find a rare pokemon that you didn't know what it was. And, of course, the new designs are everywhere! So... the old seems strange, and refreshing!
